Universal Access Seminar
On Thursday evening November 24, Geze held a Universal Access Seminar at the Pavilion Conference Centre. Ari Seirlis, national director of the QuadPara Association of South Africa and Philip Thompson, an architect specialising in universal access were the two guest speakers.
The audience, which consisted of many architects and other interested parties, are introduced to the basic principles of universal design which are aimed to ensure that everybody can access and utilise buildings and the surrounding environment. The presentations were extremely informative and enjoyed by all. The knowledge gained by those present will ensure that the buildings they design in the future adhered to the principles of universal design and ensure that people with mobility impairments will be able to access them with ease.
